Southern Baja Mexico Trip 2016-2017

Baja Mexico - Cabo San Lucas/La Paz Loop

I haven't posted about trips for a while so here's one to share and sorry for skipping Mexico a couple times and all the beautiful northwest US trips. I think you can find many of them right here. I hope you enjoy this travel through my log.

Day 1 - (Tuesday) Fly into San Jose Del Cabo, short trip into Cabo San Lucas but stay in San Jose first night.

Day 2 - San Jose Del Cabo beaches and around town. A little hotel and beach/pool hopping then afternoon, head north toward Los Barriles to stay for the night.

Day 3 - Wake up and drive to Cabo Pulmo but lots of wind waves. Nice for walking but sand blowing, so time to head toward La Paz. Small visit to San Pedro and a few small towns they stay at La Paz for the afternoon/evening.

day 4 - Drive south toward Cabo. Stop in Todos Santos and along beaches then arrive Cabo San Lucas in time for a nice swim at a local beach by the cape.

Day 5 - Cabo and local beaches. Rain for a few hours in the morning but extremely nice outside. New Years Eve in Cabo.

Day - 6 around Cabo, back to San Jose at a couple local beaches. Back to Cabo for more snorkelling.

Day - 7 San Jose Del Cabo, some local delicious neighborhood tacos, then fly out.

Leaving Seattle early Tuesday Dec 27th heading south. Snow on the ground and cold.

From my hotel at Los Barriles. A nice town with only a few tourists. Windsurfing and kiteboarding is good in this area because of the winds and the bay on the sea of Cortez.

The drive down to Cabo Pulmo, a long dirt road. I had high hopes for this town but winds were high so the water was rough.

La Paz. Found a nice hotel. Didn't get many pictures here because of weather and little time. La Paz would be a great place to explore.

Driving south from La Paz to Cabo San Lucas. Stopped breifly in Todos Santos, famous for the Hotel California and other treats. Then, south to the beaches at Playa Cerritos

This was a nice beach for swimming. Lots of fish; stingrays, blowfish and many others.
The faster I swam around, the more fish would join me.

was clear and very warm. Nice for soaking in.

New Years, 2017. 10 minutes of grand finally, but it was fun.
